Kid# 1 Jonathan Elijah
Nickname: J

Jonathan has had a very eventful 2025! He finished Elementary School, won his first Track Medal in Long Jump and continued his passions in IT, Coding, Photography Pokemon, and Music Production....and all of that was BEFORE the end of Summer time!

In the Fall he made the BIG Transition to Middle School and has officially made that adjustment. Completed his first band concert as a Saxaphone Player, Submitted an App he built with a friend to the Congressional App Challenge, Oranized a Destination ImaginationTeam that will compete in February, was selected by his peers to be an Asst. Patrol Leader in Boy Scouts AND just completed his first 5k in 28mins....idk if he is more like mom or dad at this point but he is definately a budding ROCK STAR!!!

He is looking forward to trying out for Honors Band and kicking off Track Season at the start of 2026 and getting a patten for his invention by the end of next year.

Kid# 2 Laila Larue
Nickname: Lai

Laila has had an equally amazing year! She started things off in swimming and track and transitioned into pageant season prep by April. During the summer she once again completed Theatre Camp at The Ensemble and wrapped up Pageant Season as the reigning Internantioal United Miss Texas Jr Pre Teen!! What that means is she will spend a year making appearances, volunteering, being a good citizen and promoting her platform of kindness. She has done so many amazing things from authoring a book to fighting food insecurity. She is also going to compete for the INTERNATIONAL title in July 2026! Like Jonathan Laila will also be competing in Destination Imagination in February and right after will enter Track Season. Pageant training stars up again in January...we're ready and excited for that journey as well.

In 2026 she is looking forward to WINNING the IUM Title, promoting her book and being featured in her first commercial.

Kid#3 Bliss Elizabeth
Nickname: Tinks

Bliss is definately not a baby anymore. She spent the beginning of this year working on her swimming skills and the end of this year working on her gymnastics skills.

She absolutely LOVES her Teacher at Primrose this year and has made some classroom friends that she shares daily adventures with and loves to tell us about when she gets home every day.

Next year she is looking forwawrd to gymnastics, practicing her own pageant walk and starting piano lessons.

Stephen and Anshwa we so busy with these kids we didn't even take professional Christmas pictures this year....and you know that says a lot.

But we are both working on ourselves, working on our family unit and working on our future...together.

Life has brough us through several career journey twists and turns and in 2026 we are venturing into business together.

SwaLaRue Events is closing up shop for now and its a good thing! It's created space for Anshwa to help support Lailas pageant journey and also start working on business with Stephen.

And after yet another surgery...we think Anshwa is finally ready to stop getting injuried. With the shortest recovery to date she has already completed her first 5k....races might become a thing for her again in 2026.

Stephen is working on his nutrition and wellness and leading us all down a healthier path behind them.

Both his Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts Troops are more active than ever and he is continuing to set out for what he planned to do, transition Boys II Men.
